James (Jim) Monahan has been working in government and politics for the past fifteen years. His experience includes work as an administrative assistant to the Minority Leader in the New Hampshire Senate, as well as various management positions in both state and national political campaigns. Jim operated his own public affairs consulting firm for a number of years. His firm specialized in communications and public relations management as well as political consulting.

Jim's professional focus is energy, utility and transportation issues as well as intergovernmental policy, with an emphasis on legislative advocacy and communications. In addition, Jim oversees The Dupont Group's Public Relations division, White Birch Communications Group.

Jim served as a former member of the Independent System Operator - New England Board Advisory Committee, was a contributing editor to PrimaryDiner.com and often provides news media analysis on topics of politics and public policy.
